|About Joyce True
Joyce True's lifelong passion has been photography and she has now devoted over 30 years to her art and profession. In 1978 she was accepted at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California where she graduated with honors in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Photography.
Following graduation, she was employed as an industrial photographer for the largest utility company in the world, Pacific Gas & Electric based in San Francisco. There she traveled throughout California performing a wide variety of work including portraits, landscapes, nature, people at work and still life photography for brochures, calendars, annual reports, newsletters and catalogs using all camera formats from 35mm to 8x10.
In 1989 Joyce entered the San Francisco Art Academy and completed graduate classes in computer design, digital imaging, and advanced fine art photography. Joyce now resides in the Sarasota Fl. area where she works with various designers and agencies as a free lance photographer using all camera formats. She also uses an Apple computer for digital imaging doing photographic restoration, manipulation, and concept design as well as photographic digital art. Joyce has won many awards for her work and now sells her digital images and stock photography throughout the United States to businesses, galleries, and individuals.
Joyce also teaches photography at "The Ringling School of Art & Design" in Sarasota and is available for Digital & Photography Fine Art Juroring through out the U.S. Please contact her for availability at:
